Reader's Advisory

Homebound Services
If you can't come to the Library, the Library will come to you. We deliver materials to Springdale residents who are unable to visit the Library due to illness or disability. To sign up, call the Library at 750-8180 and ask for Homebound Services.
Local History
We have the Springdale newspaper on microfilm from May 1896 to the present, and cemetery indexes for Washington and Benton counties. Microfilm copies are $.10 a page.
Study Carrels
Nine private study carrels are available for the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Different rooms accommodate one, two, or three people.
Bookstore
The Friends of the Library operate a bookstore in the lobby during business hours. Proceeds from sales go to support Library projects.
Photocopiers
Photocopy machines are located throughout the Library for public use. Photocopies cost $.15 per single side page; $.30 per double side page.
Proctoring
The Library provides free test proctoring. For more information see these guidelines.
Fax Service
You may use the Library fax machine to send and receive documents. The charge for outgoing and incoming transmissions is $1.00 per page. The fax number for the Springdale Public Library is 479-750-8182.
Notary Services
The Library has on staff a notary public who will notarize documents at no charge. Please call 750-8180 to verify when the notary is available.
Computers and the Internet
Free computer use is provided to all library cardholders. Available programs include: Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Publisher. In the children's area and the young adult's area, we offer filtered Internet access and educational software. Black and white laser printers are available; printouts cost $.15 per page.
Librarians will provide searching suggestions and answer general questions about computer use.
To use a computer, sign up at the Reference Desk or the Children's Desk. Please bring your library card with you. Out-of-town visitors (18 years or older) may register for Internet use with the presentation of a valid ID such as a driver's license. Computers are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis in blocks of one hour. The daily limit is two hours.

Access to the Internet helps the Springdale Public Library fulfill its role of information provider by enabling our users to retrieve information from computers around the world. Resources available on the Internet complement and supplement the collections of the Springdale Public Library. The Library cannot control the information on the Internet, and cannot be responsible for its content. Users are encouraged to be critical consumers, and to evaluate information and sites carefully. Internet users must abide by the Library's Computer Use Policy.
