2009 Summer Teen ProgramsShared Worlds
Teen Writing Group
Tuesdays, 5:006:00 pm
June 9 through July 28This summer, creative writing teens will have the chance to create their own Shared World in writing.
Each program will look at different writing topics including poetry, character creation, and journalism, and discuss familiar “worlds” such as the Harry Potter universe, Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings’ Middle Earth. From these discussions, teens will create their own world in writing and get it published for inclusion in the Library’s Young Adult reading section!
The program is free and registration is not required. For more information on the Shared World Teen Writing Group, call Brad Carter at 479-750-8180 or email bcarter@springdalelibrary.org

Tie Dye to Die ForMake Your Own Tie Dye Shirt
You will need to bring 2 light colored or white tee shirts to dye. These do not need to be new shirts but should be 100% cotton and washed. All volunteers will need to make a shirt because these are what we will wear to identify us at programs. We will make one shirt of a single color and the second any colors that you want to use. Cyndi Skinner Barham will be the instructor.
