Become a YAAC!

What’s a YAAC?

The Young Adult Advisory Council (YAAC) is a group of teenage volunteers between the ages of 12 and 18. It meets regularly to plan activities for teens and to participate in Library events.

YAAC activities include:

  • Recommending books and other items for the Young Adult collection
  • Writing book reviews for the Library Web site and the newsletter
  • Assisting with the Summer Reading Program
  • Participating in Library projects

Why should you become a YAAC?

The Young Adult Advisory Council is a great place to meet new people and become involved with your community. Also, membership is free, it’s fun, and it looks good on resumes and college applications.
