If all Arkansas Read the Same Book

If All Arkansas Read the Same Book is an annual, statewide reading program designed to encourage the enjoyment of reading and to promote book discussion in libraries across Arkansas. The 2018 Selection is Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate.

Based on one of America’s most notorious real-life scandals – in which Georgia Tann, director of a Memphis-based adoption organization, kidnapped and sold poor children to wealthy families all over the country -Wingate’s riveting, wrenching, and ultimately uplifting tale reminds us how, even though the paths we take can lead to many places, the heart never forgets where we belong.

All SPL book clubs will meet together at the Library Saturday, May 19 at 2 PM for a conversation about the book.  All members of the public are welcome to join!
