The Public Library Board was established in 1953 and is a Board of Trustees that governs the Springdale Public Library.
There are seven members who are appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council. Board members serve five-year terms. The duties of the Board include managing the library and its funds, hiring librarians and staff, and maintaining the library grounds.
The Library Board meets on the Third Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. in the Springdale Library Boardroom at 405 S. Pleasant St.
