Lego Challenge Fun: 1 PM – 4 PM
Children’s Department
Come to the Children’s Area and take the daily Lego Challenge or create your own Lego fun.

Sewing Club workshop:
Session 1: 1 PM – 2:30 PM
For ages 10-14.  Each participant will make a pillowcase and another project if time permits. The session is limited to 14 participants (parents are encouraged to stay and help). Register at the Children’s Desk.

The Springdale Public Library Minecraft server will be set to Creative & Survivor mode for this challenge. Come test your Minecraft Skills in this more difficult Minecraft world.

Lynda.com has clear video-based training and has added learning paths to help professionals gain new skills. Now available to Springdale Public Library patrons: The New York Times Online

We are excited to announce our new digital subscription to The New York Times Online. Library patrons will have unlimited access to NYTimes.com and can now enjoy articles, blogs, videos, podcasts, real-time market data and more, including full access to International, Chinese and Spanish editions. NYTimes.com also includes 20,000 topic pages, which consolidate news, reference and archival information in an easy-to-use format that is a reliable alternative to Wikipedia.

To access NYT Online at the Library, simply visit www.nytimes.com and click Log In in the top right corner. Sign up for a free account, or log in with an existing account. As long as you’re using the Library’s computers or wireless network, you’ll have access to the entire NYT site, with the sole exception of the crossword puzzle.

To access NYT Online at home, click on this link. You’ll then be given a code for 72 hours of access. Click Redeem Code to get started. From there, either sign up for a free account or log in with an existing one. When your 72 hours are over, you’re welcome to redeem another code by visiting the Library website again.

Chispas Spanish Story Time for Families

This storytime presents children’s books in English and Spanish, along with songs, rhymes and a simple craft project. Spanish Story Time is excellent for families who speak Spanish as their first language as well as for children who are learning English or Spanish as a second language.
