Programs for Kids

Summer Story Time 2017

If you would like to bring a group of 5 or more children to a story time, please call the library in advance (no need to call in advance for special events). Children under the age of eleven must always be supervised by an adult, in all areas of the library. A parent or adult caregiver of children under age eleven must remain in the library while school age children are attending programs.

Make It Mondays

Try It Tuesdays

Building projects, 3D printer projects, sewing… lots of fun!

* East Helen Tyson Middle School is partnering with the Springdale Public Library for select Make it Monday and Try it Tuesday programs. These programs are designed for ages 9-14. All other Make It Mondays and Try It Tuesdays are recommended for ages 5 and up.

Watch It Wednesdays

Sensory Storytime

Sensory story times are for children on the autism spectrum and/or with sensory integration issues. Please call to register so that we can meet the needs of your child. Song sheets for Sensory Story Time are available below if you would like to introduce your child in advance to the songs we'll be using in story time.

This program is a great way for caregivers to introduce toddlers to language, literature and the Library through stories, songs and rhymes.

Wigglers & Jigglers Pre-School Story Time

Ages 3 through 5

Pre-school Story Time gives children and their caregivers the opportunity to enjoy books, songs, puppets, fingerplays, and a simple craft project.

Laugh & Learn Library Lab
School-Age Program

Grades K-3

These fun-filled programs feature stories, songs, activities and crafts. Children of all abilities are welcome!

A.T.L.A.S. (At the Library All Summer)

Tuesday, 10:30 am
Grades 4-6

Come build, make, and create. You could learn to sew, wield a 3D pen, work with a 3D printer, and design and build a structure.

Chispas Spanish Story Time for Families / Cuentos en Español para Familias

Thursday, 2:00 pm
Children's Auditorium

This story time presents children's books in English and Spanish, along with songs, rhymes and a simple craft project. Spanish Story Time is excellent for families who speak Spanish as their first language as well as for children who are learning English or Spanish as a second language.
